About the American Wind Symphony Orchestra and American Wind Symphony EditionsThe AWSO celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2007, and its founder and director Robert Boudreau is preparing to return to the waterways of America this summer. The composers commissioned by Mr. Boudreau and the Orchestra over the years reads like a Who's Who of 20th and 21st century composition: Heitor Villa-Lobos, Henk Badings, Robert Russell Bennett, Henry Brant, Alan Hovhaness, Oliver Nelson, Toshiro Mayuzumi, Bernd Franke, David Amram and many others.
