Description

20" x 28". Printed on 100 lb. glossy stock paper. Suitable for framing

Cathy Berberian, better known as 'the Callas of contemporary music,' described her work "Stripsody" as 'a glossary of onomatopoeia used in comic strips'--it includes references to comics like Peanuts and Superman (and Tarzan right at the beginning of page 1). Meant to be performed as sound effects and scenes without using props, the graphics not only direct the performer but tell an entertaining story of sorts. The poster shows Page 1 in its entirety.
